KX-MY001 front bike light
Bike light branded as ARSA GO with two LEDs (for a total of 6 light modes), powered by internal LiIon cell, charged with USB-C.
Button + bunch of status LEDs on top.
Mounting to handlebar with rubber strap.
Two lenses giving different light streams.
Mounting screw has to be removed to slide out internals.
I've got two pieces with different issues.
The first one was consuming a little bit of current when connected to charger, but was not turning on.
Looks like a battery issue, but at this point I wasn't 100% sure yet - there was some white residue, battery was misshaped but
it was not bloated in typical was, it was firm, not bloated with gas inside.
This is 102540 cell, 1200 mAh, 4.44 Wh.
The second one was turning on but battery was low and it was not consuming any current from charger.
Turns out that integrated circuit near the USB was torn out, probably during assembly.
Placing two cells next to each one makes the problem with the first one more obvious.
Advertising this light as waterproof is a bit of a stretch. There is no seal under the plastic panel on top. Front lens fits little bit loosely
in the aluminum case. This can be partially improved by adding second o-ring seal (there are two grooves but only one seal is mounted).
I've restored the first light by swapping battery from the second one (the one with torn out IC). Second one would probably be for parts only, as suitable LiIon cell costs more than whole light.
The light can be quite strong, but visibly depends on battery charge level - leds are controlled just by transistors and resistors.
